Obtained by the University in 1985, the Dudley lot is immediately adjacent to the Burley-Demerritt farm. Although only 21 acres in size this property has a wide variety of wildlife habitat elements including frontage on the Lamprey River and both forested and open areas. Predominant trees species here include a substantial stand of young aspen and birch as well as pockets of mature white pine, red oak, hemlock and red maple. This property is multi-use so is open to the public for most forms of non-motorized recreation including hunting, fishing and all forms of pedestrian traffic
Both this and the Burley-Demerritt lot are targets for permanent land protection measures by the Town of Lee and the Lamprey River Advisory Committee.
